Tulsa King, review: Taylor Sheridan and Sylvester Stallone Present A Magnificent Show

Tulsa King is a new crime drama series created by Taylor Sheridan, the man behind Yellowstone and 1883. The show stars Sylvester Stallone as Dwight "The General" Manfredi, a New York mafia capo who is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma after 25 years in prison.

The show does a great job of exploring the mafia structure, from the old guard who still rely on muscle and intimidation to the

new generation who are more comfortable using technology and social media. Dwight is a fish out of water in Tulsa, but he quickly learns that he needs to adapt to the new world if he wants to survive.

The show also explores the generational divide between Dwight and the people he encounters in Tulsa. The younger characters are more open-minded and accepting of change, while Dwight is more traditional and set in his ways. This clash of cultures is one of the things that makes the show so interesting.

Sheridan is known for his realistic depiction of the American West, and Tulsa King is no exception. The show features plenty of horses and ranches, and the depiction of small-town Oklahoma is spot-on. The show also has an engaging story that will keep you hooked from beginning to end.

Stallone gives a superb performance as Dwight. He brings a lot of gravitas to the role, and he makes Dwight a complex and sympathetic character. The supporting cast is also excellent, with Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, and Domenick Lombardozzi all giving memorable performances.

Overall, Tulsa King is a well-made and entertaining crime drama. It's a must-watch for fans of Sheridan's work, and it's also a great introduction to Stallone's acting chops.

Here are some specific things I appreciated about the show:

* The way it explores the mafia structure, from the old guard to the new generation.

* The clash of cultures between Dwight and the people he encounters in Tulsa.

* Sheridan's realistic depiction of the American West.

* The engaging story.

* Stallone's superb performance.

If you're a fan of crime dramas, Taylor Sheridan's work, or Sylvester Stallone, then I highly recommend Tulsa King.
