Well, the pre-monsoon rains have finally arrived—and everything has changed!

We visited Jogi Talab again to check out the transformation, and the results are absolutely breathtaking. Here is why you need to add this peaceful escape to your travel radar for 2026 or 2027.

What’s New After the Pre-Monsoon Showers?

• Rising Water Levels: The pond has noticeably recovered, bringing fresh life and movement back to the entire ecosystem.

• Crystal Clear Clarity: The water clarity has improved remarkably, giving the whole landscape a vibrant, refreshing feel.

• The Stunning Back View: We ventured further around to the back side of the pond this time. The lush greenery, smooth two-wheeler driveways, and panoramic angles make it feel like you've teleported straight to a hill station, completely away from city chaos.

• An Ocean of Lotus Plants: The massive spread of lotus leaves across the western side is starting to thrive even more in the damp, welcoming weather.

In this final and concluding chapter of our travel vlog series, we are stepping off the beaten path to explore a magnificent treasure hidden deep within the rugged landscape of the Zawar Mines region near Udaipur.

The Unseen Marvel of Zawar Mines

While most travelers flock to the lakes and palaces of Udaipur city, the historic mining hub of Zawar holds secrets that date back centuries. Tucked away from the usual tourist crowds stands the ancient Ramanath Temple.

As soon as you walk onto the temple grounds, the atmosphere changes. The complex features:

• Intricate Medieval Carvings: The stone pillars and shikhara (spires) are covered in breathtaking traditional craftsmanship that has survived the test of time.

• The Sacred Ramakund Stepwell: Right alongside the temple lies a massive, beautifully engineered stepped water tank. Its still, reflecting waters perfectly capture the ancient stone structures surrounding it.

The Powerful History: Who Built the Ramanath Temple?

You cannot fully appreciate this temple without knowing the incredible woman behind its creation. While local legends sometimes get muddled, historical inscriptions tell a clear and inspiring story.

This temple complex was commissioned in 1497 CE by Princess Ramabai, the fiercely independent daughter of Mewar's legendary warrior-king, Maharana Kumbha.

Princess Ramabai was far from an ordinary royal:

• The "Vagishwari" of Mewar: She was a highly celebrated scholar and a master musician. Because of her extraordinary command over literature and music, historical texts honor her with the title "Vagishwari" (Goddess Saraswati).

• A Lasting Legacy: After returning to her homeland from Gujarat, she was granted the prosperous mining estate of Zawar. Instead of living quietly, she used her wealth to construct this architectural marvel and the accompanying Ramakund stepwell, creating a vital water resource and spiritual hub for the thriving township.

Do you know Best Streetfood or snacks of Udaipur are available out of Udaipur

 The best kind of street food or snacks that are full of flavors, accompanied by a sweet surprising curry or kadhi are not available in the city of Udaipur, must travel 20 or more kilometers to Sirohi Pindwara highway and stop at Iswal bus stand,  here you will find a wide variety of items to snack upon in your travel like kachori, samosa, but my favorite are fafda (thin crispy chickpeas dish) and methi palak gota (a kind of fritters) served with freshly fried green chilies and the cherry on the top is the sweet kadhi (prepared in Gujrati style but served in Rajasthan) this humble streetfood is available at street prices of roughly 30-40 rupees per plate. And quantity is sufficient for one or two hungry individuals. But taste is always much better than you imagine it to be. So after refreshment we must end it with tea, so I finished my evening with one of the best tea of the day at Iswal bus stand roughly 24 kms from Udaipur.

Marky Momos: Magical Chinese Food (Food review)

Marky Momos has opened at 100 feet road connecting University Road and Sobhagpura circle in Udaipur,  after the Hotel Royal Inn. This is franchise of Marky Momos Jaipur.

I visited this upscale chinese food joint yesterday for a quick bite and below is my experience:-

Food Review Purnima Chat

I visited the newly opened Purnima Chat at the 100 feet road corner today. This is a Fast Food cum Chaat joint serving Chinese dishes like Noodles, spring rolls, chopsey, Pizza, Pasta, Soups, Chola Bhatura and all Chat food items like Pani Puri, Bhel, Aloo Tikiya and Papdi Chat.

First I item I went for was Pani Puri, they offer 7 pieces for a price of 20 Rs.

Thunderstorm after 19 September in Udaipur?

Most of the weather websites are predicting the chances of thunderstorm in Udaipur (Raj.) from 19th of September 2015. Guess it will provide some relief from the unexpected September heat.
